From a young age, Tim Borowski aspired to be a professional football player. Having played 236 Bundesliga matches for SV Werder Bremen and FC Bayern Munich, along with earning 33 caps for the German national team, he now reflects on his career with deep appreciation and humility.

Tim Borowski made his breakthrough with Werder Bremen in the 2003/04 season, which culminated in winning the German championship and the DFB Cup. He quickly became a key player for the German national team and was an essential member during the 2006 World Cup held in Germany. In the 2008/09 season, he played for FC Bayern Munich and also represented Germany at the 2008 European Championships. Later, he returned to Bremen and remained loyal to the club even after retiring from professional football.

Recognizing early on that mental freshness is crucial for success due to the demands of professional sport, Tim Borowski has carried this understanding beyond his playing days. After retiring, he pursued further professional development by starting a coaching career. Upon earning his UEFA Pro Licence, he served as an assistant coach at SV Werder Bremen’s youth academy and first team. His playing experience has helped him empathize with players and communicate effectively.

Currently, Tim Borowski works as a TV analyst for Sky and DAZN. He also served as an expert for Magenta TV during the 2022 World Cup and will continue in this role for the 2024 European Championship. This position allows him to focus on detailed team analysis, which he particularly enjoys.
