The fiylo® Story
From a regional portal to a Germany-wide event platform
The internet was still in its infancy when Frank Lienert and his team started operating individual location portals for various German cities under this company name from Hanover in 2007.
Over the years, more and more requests for a Germany-wide search platform came in, and in 2016, it was finally time: under the name “fiylo – find your location”, the individual location portals were bundled into one online portal and also translated for English-speaking event planners.
Behind fiylo Deutschland GmbH is a strong, creative team alongside Frank Lienert. At the headquarters in Hanover, the Inside Sales Managers support our customers and, together with the Content Managers and Editors, ensure that venue providers and event service providers receive a high-quality online presentation. Meanwhile, fiylo field staff are traveling throughout Germany and Switzerland to personally visit the best providers. What unites our team is a passion for incomparable events, impressive venues, and professional services.

The fiylo® History
15 Years of Location Award
The presentation of the Location Award took place as the crowning finale of the one-day event “Seconds to Wow” at the Karriere-Campus Hanover. Top speakers, including Smudo from Die Fantastischen Vier, thrilled more than 300 invited guests from the event industry.
fiylo® Speaker goes online! On fiylo®, event planners can now find professional moderators, keynote speakers, and presenters for events, in addition to venues and service providers.
The fiylo® Talk is launched as a livestream series. In the discussion round initiated by Frank Lienert with experts from the event industry, current topics are discussed. fiylo® Talk No. 1 on YouTube.
The range of venues is expanded to include event locations and service providers from Switzerland.
fiylo® acquires the Austrian location portal “Platzpirsch.at”.
Renaming to fiylo Deutschland GmbH to bundle all city portals onto a single online platform.
The Location Award is initiated by Frank Lienert as an award for outstanding event venues in Germany and presented for the first time.
