Deborah Levi, born in Dillenburg in August 1997, is a prominent German bobsledder.

Levi initially pursued athletics rather than winter sports. It was only in 2018 that she transitioned to bobsledding. Acting as a pusher for Laura Nolte, she achieved her first World Cup win in January 2020 and went on to become European champion in 2021, as well as winning gold in the two-woman bobsled at both the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics.

High Performance – The fastest pusher on the bobsleigh track.

Due to her powerful acceleration, Deborah Levi was recruited by BSC Winterberg for bobsleigh. She made her debut with pilot Laura Nolte in the 2018 European Cup at Königssee. Shortly after, they won the European Cup race in Winterberg. In the Bobsleigh World Cup, she partnered with Stephanie Schneider and secured third place in Lake Placid. In summer 2020, Levi joined SC Potsdam, which provided enhanced training facilities, including a push track opened the previous year.

Olympic victories 2022 & 2026 – Racing on the fastest runners to gold.

In November 2020, Deborah Levi and Laura Nolte became German champions and won two World Cup events during the 2020/21 season. They ultimately claimed gold in the two-woman bobsled at the 2021/22 Winter Olympics in Beijing and repeated this achievement at the 2026 Games in Milan/Cortina. This accomplishment makes Nolte and Levi the first German women to earn two Olympic gold medals in bobsleigh.

Beyond her sporting success, Deborah Levi is active off the track as well. She is a member of the Anti-Racism working group of Athletes Germany and, alongside Eintracht Frankfurt player Alex Meier, was appointed ambassador for Frankfurt as a host city for the 2024 European Football Championships. Her journey exemplifies determination, passion, and ambition.
