Lukas’s story begins in a very ordinary way. He faced challenges with dyslexia during his school years, which made learning difficult, and he often dreamed of being selected for sports teams he never quite joined. Although he was not particularly outstanding in sports, it served as a foundation for building his confidence.

He started modestly with his school rowing team and progressed to endurance cycling and marathon running, steadily increasing his self-trust. He then took on larger and more daring challenges until that winter day in 2018 when he launched his rowboat from La Gomera, driven solely by determination, grit, and self-belief.

After crossing the Atlantic, Lukas continued his journey. He completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering and later transformed his concern about ocean plastic pollution into action by founding a sustainability-focused company. As CEO, he leads efforts to address environmental challenges, inspired by his experiences at sea.

For a young man in his twenties, Lukas Haitzmann has an exceptional story of determination to succeed against all odds. He is dedicated to pushing boundaries and helping others do the same. Lukas aims to inspire people worldwide, encouraging them to discover their passion and live life fully.
