Stanislawski’s football journey started as a youth player with Bramfelder SV and Hamburger SV. Beginning in July 1993, he played as a sweeper for FC St. Pauli. In 2004, a prolonged knee inflammation caused by a torn ligament ended his active playing career. Nevertheless, he pursued his passion for sports by training as a sports manager. Between 2006 and 2011, he managed FC St. Pauli and played a key role in the club’s return to the 2nd Bundesliga. After his time in Hamburg, he became managing director at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and later held the same role at 1. FC Köln during the 2012/13 season.

Although he achieved significant success, Stanislawski chose in 2014 to pause his football coaching career and explore a completely different direction. Alongside former HSV professional Alexander Laas, he took over management of a REWE retail center in Hamburg-Winterhude. He finds strong parallels in motivation between his roles as a football coach and manager and his work as a retail manager and entrepreneur.

In his talks, Holger Stanislawski shares his broad and diverse experiences as an athlete, addressing themes such as success and failure, motivation, and persistence.
