Caroline Bosbach serves as a Member of the German Parliament. She holds the position of Federal Chairwoman of the Young Economic Council of the CDU and is an author and speaker focusing on topics such as the economy, energy, sustainability, and intergenerational justice.
She completed her Master’s degree in economics in Berlin before entering the private sector as a management trainee. Subsequently, she worked as a strategy consultant at a communications agency while also lecturing at the Cologne Business School.
Following this, she transitioned into politics. Caroline Bosbach has experience as a political advisor at both local and federal levels, including work for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises. Currently, she is employed in the energy sector.
Her speaking engagements mainly address economic topics and explore what politically fair intergenerational policies might look like in the future. She also discusses the challenges faced by young people, particularly women, pursuing political careers. In addition to her political work, Caroline Bosbach is a freelance moderator with extensive expertise in business topics and an author. She published her first book in 2021, followed by her second book, ‘Zeit für Mut,’ released by Langen Müller Verlag in 2024. She is recognized by the broader public through appearances on various TV formats, talk shows, and entertainment programs.
Nevertheless, her passion lies in politics. Raised in a political family, her father Wolfgang Bosbach served in the German Bundestag for 23 years. Caroline is actively involved in the Junge Union, the CDU, the Mittelstandsunion, and the Wirtschaftsrat. In autumn 2021, she was elected Federal Chairwoman of the Young Economic Council, the youth organization of the association.
