The Kornhaus Bern impresses since 1711 as one of the most important baroque buildings in Bern. The Kornhaus lost its original purpose in the 19th century but the architect Friedrich Schneider remade the halls into a restaurant in 1893.
At about this time the beautiful wood galleries, which include a bar and lounge nowadays, were built. Inside the guest room an impressive staircase was constructed and symbols of Bern were added to the walls. The 7,2 meter high cellar is a columned hall which reminds of church architecture. For over 120 years the Kornhauskeller has impressed its guests with baroque ambience, monumental architecture and elegant interior.

About 20 years ago the BINDELLA restaurant moved to the Kornhauskeller and has spoiled its guests ever since not only with selected wines but also with Mediterranean and regional dishes. It is no surprise then that this venue is a popular place for celebrations of all kinds.
Celebrate in the unique ambience of the Kornhauskeller! For a small get together you can use the Kornhaus gallery with bar and lounge or host a banquet or meeting with 80 guests in the impressive vault hall.
