Major Events at the Gießhalle im Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord
By car, from Duesseldorf you can reach the Landschaftspark Duisburg in about half an hour. That the journey was worthwhile, we prove you immediately with entering the site. In 1996, the British artist Jonathan Park developed an incomparable light construction, which brings the 15-hectare complex to life with dynamic play of colors made of LED lights. Normally, this drama as a whole can only be admired on weekends and holidays, but we also like to present it to you and your event during the week!
For open air events of all kinds is today the place where in former times freshly melted pig iron saw the daylight. Conduct cultural events or plan major events such as cinema performances, theater evenings or concerts. Up to 40,000 visitors come to enjoy such happenings every month, and you are all thrilled with the atmosphere. Although the events take place in the open air, you are completely independent of the weather. The reason for this is a sophisticated mobile roof construction, which optionally roofs the grandstand that accommodates up to 999 seated or 1,483 standing visitors as well as the 220 m² large scenic area, or covers the 545 m² large Gießhallen forecourt.
