Events at the Gießhalle im Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord
For your individual large-scale event as well as any other event in a private or business setting, the Gießhalle is a location that looks back on a special past. In earlier times, red-hot pig iron was brought back into the open where today around 40,000 spectators enjoy various film screenings every month. In the meantime, there is a grandstand with 999 seats or 1,483 standing places directly in front of the venue, as well as a 220 m² scene area. The casting hall forecourt covers 545 m². A special feature that allows visitors and organisers to operate completely independently of the weather is the mobile roof construction. Thanks to its mobility, it can be placed either above the grandstand or in combination with the forecourt to ensure that the passion for celebration does not go down the drain even when it rains.
Whether concert, theatre or cinema – we turn our location into a stage for your personal ideas! Put your individual cultural projects into practice and benefit from our generous infrastructure. We are happy to provide you with WLAN and LAN, and you and your guests can also enjoy the light construction by artist Jonathan Park, which has been creating special magic since 1996. What can normally only be seen in this form at weekends and on public holidays, we are happy to present to you in the course of your events. For people with a passion for climbing, the high-altitude climbing course in the adjoining hall acts as a new challenge. You are not bound to a catering company on site; however, drinks must be purchased from one of our contractual partners. A good 1,500 parking spaces offer sufficient parking space for your car.
