The “Haus Ungarn” for Events in Berlin
Once a Hungarian cultural institute, Haus Ungarn is now a unique location with a 50-metre-long window front providing the perfect backdrop for your events. Look forward to the magnificent view of Berlin landmarks such as the TV Tower, St. Mary’s Church or the Red City Hall.
The event rooms
Various restored elements on the 1st floor lend the function rooms their special flair and are reminiscent of times long past. In charming contrast to this is the modern equipment with high-class lighting and sound technology. A wide variety of event formats can be realised.
The foyer is extremely flexible with its rigging system and the 6-metre-long window front, which can be folded if required. Depending on the event, you can divide the room, which has around 1 km of sound and signal cables running along the ceiling. There are both vertical and horizontal options for this between the columns – and the partition walls also offer fancy decoration. For its part, the lounge convinces with great views, a central and permanently installed bar as well as a mobile version. Thanks to the direct connection to the kitchen, short distances are guaranteed.
In the cinema room you are surrounded by historic herringbone parquet flooring and original wood panelling from the founding days. A sound and lighting system is also installed here and the acoustic features of the room are highly significant. The mobile bar and a stage round off the facilities. For presentations, plenums, small get-togethers, concerts, fashion shows or film screenings, these premises are predestined. Artists and agencies will certainly feel at home within the fully equipped backstage room with its own stage access.
At the back of Haus Ungarn, there are four workshop rooms in the gallery. These can be booked separately with their own entrance and sanitary facilities, or you can combine them with the complete location. The ambience inspires with its almost 5 m high ceilings, white walls and window fronts, which in turn offer a view of the Marienkirche and the Fernsehturm. In addition, there is a small balcony and historic ventilation pipes on the ceiling. The conditions are ideal for meetings and workshops or as break-out rooms.
When the weather is right, the terrace area is a popular choice, and thanks to the folding window wall built into the foyer, you can even create a mixture of indoors and outdoors. Greet your guests here with a welcome drink or hold relaxed get-togethers. There is a bar and a live cooking station, and the furniture is suitable for a good 80 people. In addition, this area can also be used as a separate entrance.
