The Döns – Historic waiting shelter at the Oevelgönne museum harbour
Nestled in the picturesque Oevelgönne museum harbour, right on the Neumühlen pontoon, a very special event venue awaits you: The Döns, a lovingly restored, historic waiting shelter. This charming location with a direct view of the Elbe offers the perfect setting for events, photo and film shoots, presentations, Christmas parties, meetings, weddings and private occasions for up to 50 guests standing and 40 seated.
The space is ideal for team events and weekday workshops – also in combination with beach walks and harbour boat trips.
The Döns is fully equipped with a kitchenette, two refrigerators and rustic furnishings, including beer table sets, chairs and a sound system with 4 speakers. A cast-iron wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth in winter and invites you to linger.
Whether you use the existing furniture or would like to add your own personal touch with an event outfitter is entirely up to you. The flexible room layout allows you to decorate the Döns to your liking.
Food and drinks can be brought along as you wish, and on request we will be happy to provide recommendations for our catering partners and beverage suppliers.

Please note: The Döns is in very high demand and the waiting list is long! We therefore recommend reserving your date early, ideally during an on-site viewing appointment at the Neumühlen ferry landing.
