Prof. Dr. Christian Berg focuses on sustainability, innovation, and resilience.
How can we guarantee that the greatest number of people can live well without endangering the future? What part does the economy play in this? What actions can companies take to become more sustainable? How can political frameworks create the right incentives for sustainability, and what role does each individual have?
Beginning with the question of what fundamentally holds the world together, Christian Berg initially studied physics and philosophy, followed by theology. His dissertation on the connection between theology and natural science led him to explore how we can responsibly manage creation and apply technology accordingly.

“Embarking on a better future with perspective.”
Christian Berg states, “Perspective arises from understanding contexts. It is crucial to grasp the contexts of today’s challenges to draw appropriate conclusions. This always relates to me—regardless of where I am or what concerns me—because the future does not simply happen to me; I am responsible for shaping it.”
