The Dortmunder U was built between 1926 and 1927 as a fermentation and storage cellar for the Union Brewery. The high-rise building on the western edge of the city, which is now a listed landmark, has long since become a symbol of the Ruhr metropolis. Through its use as a center for art and creativity as part of RUHR.2010, it has evolved into a sought-after location for a wide variety of events. From congresses and trade fairs to company parties and gala events, everything has been successfully implemented on-site. The Dortmunder U is also in high demand as a backdrop for product presentations.
